KARACHI: Interior Caretaker Minister Hamid Nawaz Khan has said that there was no danger of terrorism during the upcoming general elections and the caretaker government would fully implement the code of conduct devised by the Election Commission to ensure smooth and peaceful elections.
Talking to newsmen in here on Saturday, he asked the political parties to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order during the electoral process. He said that army would be deployed at the sensitive areas and polling stations, though it does not seem any danger of terrorism during the forthcoming general elections.
The Minister said police and rangers would perform their duties during elections while the army would be available to help out the Civil Administration if it is called during the process. To a question, he said the situation in Swat is steadily coming to normal.-SANA
