ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party, Benazir Bhutto Wednesday called on several ambassadors from a number of countries and exchanged views relating to common interests. Ambassadors Saudi Arabia, Syrian Arab Republic, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt and Tunisia called on PPP Chairperson and discussed the issues of mutual interests.
Later, the British High Commissioner Robert Edward Brinkley and the Spanish ambassador Jose Maria Robles Graga also called on former Prime Minster separately.The PPP leader is reported to have conveyed her reservations about election related matters. She also briefed the envoys about the on-going consultations between ARD and APDM on these issues. PPP’s Chairperson also met the US ambassador Ann W Peterson here at the ambassadors’ residence.-SANA
