Wheat laboratory to be set up in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A high-tech laboratory will be set up for wheat quality and productivity upgrading at a cost of Rs146.6 million. Wheat Research Institute Director, Dr. Makhdoom Ahmad, while presiding over a meting, said that the laboratory would be set up at the Ayub Agriculture Institute. He said that the digital equipments in the laboratory would help determine the quantum of protein in wheat, the constituents detrimental to health besides providing information on seasonal/non-seasonal virus impacts on the wheat crops. Makhdoom Ahmad told that the construction of the laboratory would be completed in next three years.-SANA
