BB’s statement on A.Q Khan is insult to nation: Imran

ISLAMABAD: While commenting on the statement issued by PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto regarding Dr. A. Q Khan, Chief Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Imran Khan has said that the nation is proud of the services rendered by Dr. A. Q. Khan and termed the statement of Miss Bhutto as an insult to the nation that reveres Dr. Khan for his contribution in developing of our nuclear deterrent.

According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, PTI Chief said the PPP leader is desperate for power and in her desperation she is prepared to go to any lengths even if it means compromising on Pakistan’s vital interests. Even more alarming is her statement that she would allow foreign troops to operate inside our tribal areas, he added. Imran Khan said that nation’s dignity and vital national interests are being traded by the so called US dream team of enlightened moderates for the sake of power.

He said that General Musharraf has already plunged the nation into an unprecedented crisis through unconstitutional rule. The institutions of the state are paralyzed and the country has been made a laughing stock in the international community, he remarked. Imran Khan advised General Musharraf that instead of devising crooked means of prolonging his rule he should resign and leave Pakistan in peace before it is too late for him added he has brought shame and dishonor to Pakistan and the Pakistan army.-SANA
