ISLAMABAD: Germany would provide an assistance amounting to 51,000 Euros to provide food and shelter to the affected people for the flood victims of Chitral. German Embassy said that the relief work would be financed by the embassy. The relief work, starting in September 2007, would be carried out by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme which would go on for four months. An agreement in this regard has been signed on Monday by representatives of these two institutions. It comprises provision of shelter and food to enable the affected people to get through the winter period. The donation would be directed to the inhabitants of the village of Sonoghor which was badly destroyed by a flash flood on June 29.-SANA
