ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Tunisia Monday decided to liberalise visa regime between the two countries to boost people to people contact especially in the field of trade and economy. It was decided in a meeting between Minister of Industry, Energy, Small and Medium Size Industry of Tunisia Afif Chelbi and Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri.
Chelbi, Co-Chairman of the Pakistan Tunisia Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) visited for the purpose to attend the 6th session of Pakistan-Tunisia Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC). Kasuri welcomed the convening of the 6th session of Pakistan-Tunisia JMC and considered it important in strengthening economic and commercial ties between the two countries.
The Tunisian Minister commended the Foreign Minister on the impressive economic growth, which Pakistan has achieved in recent years. He suggested that Pakistan and Tunisia should collaborate in the textile sector and take advantage of the Free Trade Agreement, which Tunisia enjoys with the European Union.-SANA
