Dialogue only way to resolve Kashmir issue: Mirwaiz

SRINAGAR: The Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that dialogue was the only way to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The APHC chairman stated this while addressing participants of a debate on Kashmir in Srinagar. The debate was organized by the APHC, which was attended besides others by Hurriyat leaders, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Bilal Ghani Lone, Fazal Haq Qureshi and representatives of various organizations, including doctors, lawyers and intellectuals.

Mirwaiz hoped that Pakistan and India would be able to find a Kashmir solution in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations. He urged India to shun its traditional rigidity and improve the ground situation in occupied Kashmir. The speakers called for expediting the Pak-India dialogue process and urged India to ensure Kashmiris’ inclusion in it.-SANA
