FC personnel survive rocket attack in North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH: Militants again fired rockets on the FC fort here, official sources informed. The sources said that the miscreants fired two rockets on the fort stationing paramilitary forces personnel. However, no loss of life was caused in the attack. The rockets landed in an uninhabited area near the camp and exploded with loud blast. Situation is North Waziristan turned volatile after the announcement of local Taliban elements to scrap their peace deal with the government on in July, following the Lal Masjid operation, in which over two hundred male and female religious extremists and seminary students were killed along with their leader, Maulana Abdul Rashid Ghazi.

A number of attacks have since been made on paramilitary forces’ convoy and check posts, in which a number of soldiers have been killed and injured. The security forces are also carrying intermittent operations against the militants to incapacitate the militants.-SANA
