Punjab CM phones PM; regrets over remarks on Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday telephoned Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and regretted over the negative statements issued by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
In his conversation with the PM, the CM expressed regret over the statement of PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq in which he uttered provoking remarks against the Pakistan People’s Party founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto saying Pakistan was not his territory. The CM requested the PM to convey his regret to the PPP leadership.
On the other hand, Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ali Khohro while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club demanded that PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif should seek apology over the remarks of his party man.-SANA
