Police step up patrolling in Karachi
KARACHI: Police have stepped up patrols in Karachi to prevent renewed violence after angry mobs rampaged in the aftermath of a suicide attack on Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine that left several dead and 85 injured.
Mobs took to the streets after the attack, firing weapons, setting tires on fire and torching at least two buses. Police Chief Azad Khan said on Friday he had increased patrols to keep the peace, while a special team of senior investigators had been sent to the scene of the attack to investigate.-SANA
