No one can deny the fact that a big manmade human crisis was expected when Government decided ascendancy against Taliban in Malakand Division. The plight of the people displaced from their homes in Swat, Dir and Buner as a result of militants’ activities and the security forces’ operations against them is getting more and more serious day by day. The number according to provincial government is touching a mark of 5-6 lakhs. The circumstances have made it impossible for them to find succor on their own. Many among them lost their means of income weeks and months ago and are now in dire straits. Their needs for relief are both urgent and substantial.
Despite of tall claims of relief activities in conflict area by government; these pictures are revealing the truth. Leaving upon you to decide what a contradiction between the government officials on TV screens say and what ground realities are???
These innocent people including kids are waiting for whom??? where is government??? Where are relief camps?? Where are one thousand KG rice??? Where is Human Rights Organizations??? Where are billion rupees???

These pictures were taken in Palai Village on May 6, 2009… Where people are under sky without any basic facility of life including water and food. They dont have health facility. The dilemma goes on.. There are several other places in conflict area. This is one example that has disclosed a part of the story..

Hina you have very rightly pointed out that President should come back to handle this issue.. Thanks for input
uhhhm… Rubab let me tell you ppl one thing…. When i interviewed Commissioner Malakand in Dargai, He told me that more than half million people displaced in last one week and govt. arranged 5 camps having capacity to accommodate only 20000. So where are remaining IDPs?
Only the people of Mardan, Sawabi and Noshehra District managed themselve without the help of govt in their houses and Hujras. I visited some places where population of villages tripled by accomodating their displaced brothers n sisters.
What was the reaction of DCO Malakand on asking abt the provision of health fasilities in Palai Village. He told no govt can provide health fasiclities to injuried in such a remote area. They have to move down districts which are 100 KM away.
May Almighty reward them who are serving the Mohajreen and repeating the history of Ansar of Madina.
