Thank you David for appreciating my comment! But it’s a burning reality that our military establishment is not sincere tackling this menace of religious fanaticism. Former President Musharraf was master of systematically spraying Talibanization across the NWFP to blackmail the West. We, the people of NWFP, being pushed into stone age just for the sake of few Generals’ pocket health. Obama Administration must stop gifting our military establishment with a blind cheque…….the money is falling into wrong hands. I know people of Punjab has great foundness for Army but it will get vanished once they visit NWFP to see it themselves.

America!!!…a great player…playing with the sentiments of the Muslims all around the world!There have been lot of instances that can be shown about its bloody politics towards Muslim world.Its nice to see Tommy writing in favor of Pakistan…although i am an Indian …but still injustice cannot be tolerated…..Another strange nation is Israel..:)

America is not only against the Islamic world but it is dead against Communism.A country that defines Communist as “Dirty Communists”. I ask Mr. President what the hell u know about communism?…

1. Being a citizen of Swat, I have myself experienced that our army is playing double game in this “War on Terror” to prolong it so that they could keep on milking the West financially . And finally goofs in Washington and London have realized that they are feeding the snake. This menace has to be tackled with all sincerity otherwise outsiders will find a golden opportunity of intruding into our territory to get the job done that we could have easily wrapped up. Our Generals’ double game and honeymoon is about to end.We Pakistanis, have to understand that you can’t make people fool all the time. Just stop blaming Obama for being impatient with us. As a nation, we have this tendency that we just don’t get straight unless outsiders twist our hands.

Dear Tommy.
Thank you for the sentiments showed here & I on behalf of the whole of the Pakistani nation commend you on realizing the truth & then going one step ahead & standing up against what is surely wrong.

We need to make the Obama Administration take a 360 U-Turn in order to stop this madness which was started by his predecessor who saw every nation which had wealth & resources as a terrorist/rogue/Axis of Evil – state aiding & abetting terrorists & were bombarded.

Pakistan is a peaceful democratic country where industrialized nations are trying to destabilize this country & take away everything including the identity of its people.

Thank You Tommy & I am waiting for the next parts of your letter to President Obama. I hope that President Obama learns from his predecessors mistakes and makes some drastic changes to the United States foreign policy otherwise we will be seeing Uncle Tom doing what the white man asks of him.

Pakistan & every citizen of Pakistan will never let this beautiful country go down in history as a failed/terrorist state … We will fight & defend our nation against what ever is thrown at it.

Mr. Schmitz,

It’s refreshing to witness someone seeing beyond the smokescreen, especially in your part of the world where the propoganda machine of the media has a near monopoly, against which no dissent stands a chance. Bad times for democratic rights.

It never fails to surprise me however, that noone has yet realized a fundamental problem here. Terrorism in Pakistan, yet supposedly a matter for the US? WRONG!
Problems inside Pakistan are are a matter for Pakistan. How is it the business of the US?

The only link I see between terrorism in Pakistan and the US is that the terrorism began BECAUSE of the US. There wasn’t a single suicide bombing till about 2003. So you see, the US is the problem, not the solution.

There then began militancy in the Northern Areas, and it is important to distinguish this particular incidence of militancy with terrorism. The militancy was the locals rebelling against army intervention in the area, both in the NWFO and Balochistan.

Terrorism was something completely different, which came about as a result of Pakistan’s coerced participation in the US’s war on terror (I wouldn’t call it international because noone besides the US had any issues till the US dragged the whole world into it). Half our population went missing and ended up in Guantanamo and secret CIA detention centres worldwide.

Also, you say that the US should have celebrated the Long March, yet did nothing. Wrong again.
They bombed us.
