SLAMABAD: Former foreign Secretary Akram Zaki has termed halting of Pakistani water by India as aggression and violation of Indus Basin Treaty. Akram Zaki said that if India would continue its present stance then no body would be able to stop the up-coming deteriorating circumstances of the region.
Addressing to a seminar “Water Dispute and Pak-India Relations” he asked the Indian government to follow the Indus Basin Treaty signed by Pakistan and India. He said due to the shortage of water Pakistan is bearing irreparable loss to its agriculture sector, adding that the international community should take the notice of Indian aggression.
