Nizam-e-Adl implemented to restore peace Swat
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman said on Tuesday that the implementation of the Nizam-e-Adl in Malakand and Swat aimed at retaining peace and serenity in the area. Talking to media men here, she said that the President Asif Ali Zardari would also sign accord for maintaining peace in Swat and Malakand.
She further stated that the Pak-army would remain in the said areas but it would not take any action. She said that the Army and the ISI were the significant institution of the state and they were working under the government. “The government would set up a bench in Peshawar High Court aiming to provide justice shortly to the masses”, she added. “The government had spent only one year and all the political parties would have to strengthen the ongoing democratic process in the state”’ she said.
While Taliban spokesman Haji Muslim Khan said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban accepted the agreements singed by Sufi Muhammad with NWFP government as it had trust on him. Muslim Khan said that Taliban sacrificed for the implementation of Shirra. He said that the Taliban would welcome the promulgation of this law and accepted the agreement singed by Sufi Muhammad with NWFP government. -SANA
