First 100 days of Zardari commendable: Report
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari is committed to elimination of extremism and terrorism, strengthening of federation and bringing about a tangible socio-economic change in the country.
This has been stated in a report reviewing the first hundred days performance of the President. It pointed out that when Mr. Asif Ali Zardari assumed the office of the President on September 09 last year, Pakistan was facing a difficult situation in the wake of terrorists’ attacks and a tense environment. The country was also facing fiscal and economic challenges including the fast depleting foreign exchange reserves, capital flight, decrease in foreign investment, reduction in stock market capital flight, inflation and load shedding.
The Report said that the President took bold and decisive steps to overcome all these problems. He took the international community into confidence about Pakistan’s efforts in the global fight against terrorism. President Zardari during his first address to the joint sitting of the Parliament gave a new direction to free the country from the shackles of poverty, hunger, disunity and terrorism.-SANA
