BAHAWALPUR: Four persons were killed and several others injured when a passenger train derailed near Hasilpur due to a bomb blast on a railway track, some 96 kilometer off here this afternoon. According to District Police Officer (DPO), Azhar Hameed Khokhar, a passenger train was heading towards Bahawalnagar from Samasatta when it reached near Bahawalpur, three of its bogies derailed due to blast that occurred on the railway track.

As a result, four passengers including a woman Musarrat Bibi, her daughter Saba (4), son Hassan (4 Months), police constable of Railway Police Khalid Mehmood died and twelve others were injured. The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.
