Afghan President adopted ethnic line saying Pashtuns

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Afghanistan Tuesday agreed to forge close cooperation within the framework of Trilateral Military Commission for accurate operations against militants. This resolve surfaced during joint press conference of President Asif Ali Zardari and Afgahn President Hamid Karzai at Presidential Palace after Mr.Zardari took oath of highest office.

In response to couple of questions on cross border operations by US-led ISAF and Afghan forces which occasionally result in loss of innocent lives President Karzai agreed,’ we must have very close cooperation. Rather we should evolve a permanent mechanism to avoid objectives operation. He said Pakistan is hard hit by global terrorism and I am sorry to state a former prime minister of Pakistan Ms. Benazir Bhutto became victim of such act of terrorism.

Surprisingly President Hamid Karzai repeatedly said,” it’s unfortunate that due to the activities of terrorists ‘Pashtuns from Pakistan; Pakistanis are being killed”. Almost all journalists in Federal Capital were surprised as to why Afghan President adopted ethnic line instead of saying; Muslims were being killed on two sides of Pakistan and Afghan border. Karzai said Pakistan’s new democratic dawn augured well for both countries and that he found common ground with Zardari. “For each step that you take in the war against terrorism for bringing peace to two countries, for bringing stability to two countries, Afghanistan will take many, many steps with you,” he said. ‘I find in President Zardari a good will and vision not only for relations between the two countries but for the region, that I have seen for the first time in this region,’ Karzai said.

people are referring this intentional and even his presence was questionable; where the Head of State Asif Ali Zardari was contacting for the first time after resuming his office. People are not only criticizing Afghan President Hamid Karzai but also President Asif Ali Zaradri for having him on his side. Pakistan people’s Party General Secretary Jahngir Badar has denoted this act as a clear message to world that targets to say We are open for all negotiations.
