OIC, Pakistan sign bilateral trade deal-S Arabia to give 1,50,000 tons of Urea

JEDDAH: Pakistan and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) signed a trade agreement. Pakistani ambassador Shahid Karimullah and OIC secretary-general Prof Dr Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu signed the deal.
Earlier, the rules and regulation of the agreement were finalized that facilitate Pakistan in bilateral trade with the member countries. The agreement would be implemented from January 2009.

The first consignment of 25,000 tons will soon reach at Karachi Port, adding that consignment of 22,000 tons of urea had arrived at Karachi and have already been distributed. The new import of urea would meet any shortage of fertiliser in the market and fulfil the need of the farmers, it said.
