Four deposed judges of PHC likely to take oath
PESHAWAR: Four judges of Peshawar High Court who were sacked by then president Pervez Musharraf by declaring state of emergency on November 3, 2007 are likely to take fresh oath tomorrow (Friday). According to sources, the sacked Chief Justice of PHC Justice Tariq Pervez also includes among those who are taking fresh oath tomorrow as he has agreed to resume his post.
Others who are likely to take oath include justice Shahjahan Khan, Justice Aijaz Afzal and Justice Dost Mohammad. There were only four judges in Peshawar High Court who had not taken oath under PCO after proclamation of November 3 emergency. The fresh oath will not change the seniority order of the judges in PHC. Earlier, the deposed judges of Sindh and Lahore High Court also took fresh oath.-SANA
