MINGORA: Security forces have targeted suspected hideouts and two vehicles carrying militants in district with mortars and artillery shells killing at least 23 of them and injuring several other. ISPR spokesman Maj Murad Khan told BBC the killing took places at three different places including Koza and Bara Bandai. The vehicles carrying militants were targeted from gunship helicopters and were destroyed, killing all the occupants, he said.

Local sources said that eight local Taliban were killed in the attack of their vehicles while another 14 were killed when the security forces targeted their hideout in Koza Bandai. The ISPR official said security forces sustained no casualties or damage.-SANA
