Coalition leaders meet to discuss post Musharraf scenario

ISLAMABAD: The leaders of ruling coalition have gathered at Zardari House here on Monday to discuss scenario after President Pervez Musharraf announced his resignation earlier on Monday. Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Awami National Party President Asfandyar Wali Khan and Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam Amir Fazal-ur-Rehman have arrived at Zardari House.

Nawaz Sharif has arrived here from Lahore to attend the meeting. Sources said that post Musharraf resignation scenario of the country would be the top agenda of meeting along with the selection of new president of the country. It was expected that leaders will express their suggestion over the issue. Talking to media Chaudhry Nisar said president resignation was the victory of coalition, lawyers’ movement and whole nation. Coalition would now focus on the restoration of deposed judges, he added.-SANA
