Govt’s policies hitting economy: Salman Shah

KARACHI: Policies of the present government impacting negatively on the economy. Talking to private TV channel, Dr. Slaman Shah said that the greatest problem of the economy was the distrust of the investors. Elaborating, he said that foreign investment during the fiscal year 2007-08 stood at $3 billion, which has gone negative by now. Besides, the hiking prices of crude and food grains were also affecting the whole world.

Disagreeing with the existing government policies, he said that the economic growth rate was being hit. He said that Pakistan’s majority of population constitutes of youths, yet the government was not giving due importance to industry, which would further aggravate employment situation in the country.-SANA
