LAHORE: The lawyers’ community took out usual protest rally here on Thursday and boycotted the courts in protest against dismissal of judges of the higher courts and for their reinstatement with Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as Chief Justice Pakistan. The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) and the Lahore Bar Association hold their general body meetings.

The members Lahore Bar after their general house meeting reached at the Lahore High Court main gate and protested at the Mall Road along with the LHCBA members. The rally was also joined by political and human rights activists, students, and members of civil society.

The participants wearing black strips hold black flags, banners, placards. The lawyers also stage sit in the hunger strike camps held in the bar premises to express their solidarity with the deposed judges.-SANA
