ISLAMABAD: Standing Committee on implementation of Sharia Law in the Provincial Administrative Tribal Areas (PATA) including Swat under the chairman ship of Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek on Tuesday drafted its recommendations regarding amendments in the laws of PATA. The recommendation would be forwarded to Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani today (Wednesday). The committee finalized the draft in its third meeting here.
Talking to media after the meeting the law minister said that another committee will be formed for implementation of the proposals and enforcement of laws. He clarified amendments in the local laws of Swat, PATA regulation, was proposed. To a question he said that allies should not talk about quitting the coalition adding that they are ready to discuss if some mistake was committed as far as FATA operation is concern.
