Zardari said that PPP would soon nominate its candidate for the Presidency
NAWABSHAH: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that some pro-dictatorship elements are constantly plotting against the ruling coalition and democracy in the country. Talking to media here, Zardari said the sacrifices rendered by PPP for the sovereignty of democracy would not go in vain. Pakistan Peoples Party has saved this country and we are fully committed to strengthening democracy and Pakistan.

Responding to a question, he said that PPP would further strengthen its alliance with PML-N because it wanted all parties to equally participate in a successful democratic process. He said Rs. 38 bn were allocated in the federal budget for poverty alleviation and huge amount would be reserved for the same in next budget. Zardari said that PPP would soon nominate its candidate for the Presidency. He said a democratic system without unified armed forces is bound to fail and no time frame could be given in politics. He further said the issue of judges’ restoration had been politicized and PPP wanted to strengthen judiciary by taking all political forces on board.-SANA
