ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Naib Amir Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmad has expressed his horror and disgust on the Israeli military exercises over the Eastern Mediterranean and Greece in the first week of June in which 100 Israeli F-15 fighters participated by way of rehearsal to attack on Iranian nuclear research facilities. He stated that Israel has been behaving as a war lord and bully in the region. It is also a fact that Israel is acting at the behest of the US in all its military adventures in the Middle East, he said. This was the case in its earlier attack on Iraq’s nuclear facilities and the recent attack on nuclear research facilities in Syria, he said further.
He warned that these exercises are a wake up call for Pakistan and all the Muslim countries in the region. “We must act now and declare in unequivocal terms that any attack on Iran would be an attack on Pakistan and the whole region. We must be prepared to retaliate with full force whatever be the consequences”, he emphasized. Defense of Pakistan’s nuclear assets, according to Prof. Khurshid Ahmed, demands clear warning to Israel and America that attack on Iran is not going to be tolerated as it would be a threat to the security of the entire region.
“Israeli arrogance and brinkmanship is a threat to the whole region and its adventurism hat to be stopped with a firm hand”, he further stressed. “We are sure that Iran is capable of defending itself but we must not leave Iran alone to face this threat which directly affects all of us, individually and collectively”, he stressed. He has urged the Prime Minister to respond to the threat with vision and courage.
J.O.S.P has also protested against the atrocities of Israel against the Palestinians in front of Pak-Saudi tower and J.O.S.P activists burnt flag.
