IHC adjourns hearing of Dr. Khan’s case till Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has adjourned till June 24 hearing of the petition against keeping the famous Pakistani scientist Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan in habeas corpus. The petition was filed by Iqbal Jaffrey advocate. During the pleading Deputy Attorney General Abdur Rehman adopted the stance that the petitioner have no blood relation with Dr. Qadir therefore the petition should be dismissed. On this Iqbal Jaffery advocate said that he is a close friend of Dr. Qadir who is writing a book on him. Chief Justice of the High Court Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam adjourned hearing of the case till Tuesday. Pleading on the dismissal on acceptance of the petition will continue in the next hearing.-SANA
