ISLAMABAD: President of Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the audio-tape made public by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Secretary Information Ahsan Iqbal in his news conference was based on truth that was enough for the president and Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar to render resignations.
Talking to newsmen here Aitzaz said that Nawaz Sharif should pursue rejection of his nomination papers in the court. There was no need of constitutional package for restoration of the deposed judges; however, they welcome constitutional reforms for its own good, said Aitzaz. The SCBA president said that the lawyers’ convention would be held in Peshawar on 31st May that would be attended by the deposed chef justice Chaudhry Iftikhar.-SANA
