EC announces schedule for bye-polls

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Election Commissioner has announced schedule for bye-election to Punjab Assembly constituency PP-121 Sialkot-I, fallen vacant due to the death of Rana Tariq Mehmood MPA. The nomination papers can be filed from 26th to 31st of this month. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from 2nd to 4th of next month. Appeals against acceptance or rejections of the nomination papers can be filed on the 7th which will be disposed off on 12th of next month. Candidature can be withdrawn on the 13th while list of contesting candidates will be published on the 14th of next month. Polling will be held on 5th of July.-SANA

The DAWN Group of Newspapers, published by the Pakistan Herald Publications (Pvt.) Limited (PHPL) was founded by the Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation.
