ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the government adopted comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism and extremism. In a statement issued on Friday, Mehmood Qureshi pointed out that according to the PPP stand, the terrorism could not be eliminated only through military strategy. He said that the holding of dialogue with tribal elders in FATA was part of the government‘s policy about war against terrorism.
“Political negotiations are being held with those elements that are ready to give up violence, militancy and assure not to use Pakistani territory for terrorist attack against any other country” he added. The Foreign Minister said that government could access for promoting of social and economic sector in the result of restoration of peace and stability in the FATA.-SANA
