Merajuddin calls for compensation to FATA affectees

PESHAWAR: Former MNA and political figure of South Waziristan Maulana Merajuddin has demanded of the government to compensate those affected by military operations in South and North Waziristan. Merajuddin told the BBC that the government has been asked to compensate the people of the areas for the losses they bore in the military operations. He said residents of the tribal belt have also demanded the government to open the roads blocked by the security forces. “We said that the people and the government will try to support the affected people. Relatives of the innocents who become victim in the fight should be compensated and those whose houses have damaged should also be compensated,” he said.-SANA
