NEW DELHI: Serial blasts in Jaipur together with violent incidents in Samba and Keran sector in occupied Jammu and Kashmir have forced Pakistan Peoples’ Party vice-president Makhdoom Amin Faheem to abandon his trip to occupied Kashmir. Quoting sources, local news agency KNS reported that PPP vice-president Makhdoom Amin Faheem, who is currently in New Delhi, was all set to visit Gulmarg in occupied Kashmir for a few days leisure trip. However, in the wake of recent incidents of violence in Jaipur, Samba and Keran sector, he has decided not to come here.

Faheem met various Indian leaders including Union Minister for Water Resources ands state Congress chief Prof. Saifuddin Soz. During his meeting with Soz on May 15, Faheem while condemning the recent incidents of violence, particularly the serial blasts in Rajasthan’s Pink City Jaipur, expressed Pakistan’s condolences over the loss of life in these blasts. “Killing innocents is simply unacceptable and whosoever has done it has committed a grave crime against humanity,” Faheem reportedly told Soz while he also told the Congress leader that he (Faheem) had called off his vocational trip to Kashmir in the wake of violence in Samba and Keran sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to media in New Delhi, he said that for the resolution of Kashmir issue, It was absolutely essential to take into consideration the views of India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir – “although it is altogether a different thing whether all three parties arte simultaneously present at the same table to articulate these views!” About a question regarding the visit of Indian External Affair’s Minister to Pakistan, Faheem said that he is a leader of PPP and not Pakistan’s Prime Minister. “However, I feel that we should move forward in light of our past experiences.”-SANA
