LARKANA: Punjab new Governor Salman Taseer said on Saturday he is not against any party and he is in favour of reconciliation process which is in the interest of the country. This he said during his visit to Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Saturday and laid floral wreaths at the graves, the new Governor offered Fateha at the Mazars of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto and Late Ameer Begum Bhutto on the occasion. Governor Punjab while talking to the journalists at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, Salman Taseer said that there is no difference between Larkana and Lahore; he has love and affections with Larkana and Lahore, while he also loved his leader Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the people of Larkana and he visited Larkana before this had meetings with Z. A Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto he said.
He said that the mandate given by the country men to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will prove with commitment and result, I became Governor of Punjab it is my will to complete the mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in letter & spirit he assured. He said the PML-N feels they are in minority but we will support them, why they were crying as I m not elected by PML-Q he told. Replying to a question regarding provincial autonomy and other general issues, he said that inter-provincial problems might be resolved through consensus on national grounds. He also said that his priority was to Promote education in the Province, which plays important role for reformation in society and he will stress on Education.
The Governor Punjab further said that the restoration of Judges issue will be resolved after consultation of expert lawyers which will accept the nation. He also said that due to inflation of essential commodities and price-hike in the country is common inflation of dollar and petrol as it is also worldwide changes in the economy is witnessed he said.
The Federal Government was taking all out efforts to control the inflation and price-hike to serve the common-men by organizational planning and coordination activities he said. On the occasion Governor Punjab was along with his relatives and friends reached Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and Naudero via ukkur Airport, where Sindh Maw Minister Law & Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, former Zila Nazim Larkana Khursheed Ahmed Junejo, PPP leaders and workers were received him. The workers also raised the slogans of (Long live Bhutto) Jeay Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto Zindeha Hai Zinda.
Salman Taseer said that he was not against any political party, added that re-conciliations with other political parties is in the interest of nation and country needs pivotal role of every one. He said Asif Zardari was also trying to his best for the welfare of the people and strengthening the democratic system in the country, further added that it is my will that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will contest election from Punjab after completion his education and the people of Punjab will support him for victory as a leader of PPP he said.
Taseer said that the people of Punjab were with the PPP and poor peoples of Punjab hopes backing PPP will be strengthen more in the Province of Punjab in future. Mr. Salman Taseer said ultimately he belongs to the PPP and as a Governor of Punjab he will serve the people without any discrimination. Later, The Punjab Governor Salman Taseer along with is wife visited Bhutto House Naudero and meeting with the Dr. Faryal Talpur, where the Governor was presented a Sindhi Ajrak and cap by the Sindh Minister for Law Muhammad Ayaz Soomro. On the occasion Dr. Faryal Talpur, Dr. Shafqat Soomro, Khursheed Ahmed Junejo, MNA Shahid Hussain Bhutto, Sardar Aamir Ali Bhutto, Nisar Ahmed Bhutto, PPP leaders and party workers were present at Bhutto House Naudero.-SANA
