Govt. to facilitate foreign investors in water & power sectors

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the government is fully committed to facilitate the foreign investors in the water and power sector. He was talking to Ambassador of Argentina to Pakistan, Rodolfo Martin Saravia in Islamabad. The Minister said the country is now focusing on hydel and coal power generation and run of river projects. The power sector in Pakistan has a great potential and the investment in this sector will be welcomed. The Argentinean Ambassador offered to invest in the Basha Dam. He said the Argentinians investors are also keen in power projects in Chitral and the NWFP.-SANA
