TAC to distribute 500 Kgs sweets over judges’ restoration
ISLAMABAD: Trade Action Committee of Islamabad has welcomed the restoration of all deposed judges including Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and announced to distribute five hundred Kgs sweet over their reinstatement on May 12. Talking to Media on Sunday, Central Organizing Secretary of the TAC Ajmal Baloch noted that the business community had 250 Kgs sweets at Constitutional Avenue when Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was restored.
He vowed that now they would distribute 500 Kgs sweets at Aabpara Chowk over the restoration of all deposed judges on May 12. “The reinstatement of judges without Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry would unacceptable for the whole nation” he added. Ajmal Baloch pointed out that he was the first person who was sent to jail after the removal of the Chief Justice and vowed that he was ready go to jail thousands of time for the independence of the judiciary and restoration of the CJ.
He clarified that the TAC is nonpolitical organization and he has no link with any political party. He warned that the business community would jointly launch protest and struggle with lawyers and civil society struggle if the judges were not restored on May 12.
Yet judges have to get restored, and forgetfulness is forte of Pakistanis; they can hardly remember that judiciary has been providing way to dictators and supporting them in their deeds.. Though we have to wait till My 12, 2008 that to what extent these judges are being restored.
