ISLAMABAD: FIR of the bank defaulter who committed suicide was presented in Senate here on Friday. Tufail, a young man got loan from bank but failed to refund the installments in due time. On declaring Tufail defaulter, the bank recovery started harassing him that led the young man to commit suicide.
The report of the suicide of the hapless Tufail was presented in the upper house by Leader of the House Senator Raza Rabbani on Friday. The matter was first brought into the house by Senator Ahmad Ali. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had assured the House of stringent action while directing the State Bank to hold enquiry into the matter.
Leader of the House presented an initial report in this regard and appraised the house about the investigations that were underway. He also informed the house that a detailed report would be presented in the house once completed.-SANA
