SRINAGAR: Accusing pro-Indian parties of playing pity politics, chairman of his faction of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani has said that they (pro-Indian parties) take support of Kashmir issue to brace up their loyalty to government of India. “All pro-Indian parties indulge in pity politics and use Kashmir issue for power. In reality their stand about Kashmir is no different then India,” Geelani said in a statement here Monday.

“They pro-Indian are actually responsible for slavery of Kashmiris and someone who votes for them will do treachery with the blood of martyrs,” he added. “When Farooq Abdullah (patron National Conference) took oath in 1996 he cried. People would have understood that he was concerned for them but he (Farooq) clarified: “These are tears of happiness for I have the backing of whole India.” “Some people seeking votes are giving an impression that they have the support of Hurriyat and me behind the curtains. All this is nothing but an act of deceit.”-SANA
