Australia recognizes democratic transition in Pakistan

KARACHI: Australia has recognized that Pakistan has made a significant progress on a democratic transition and that continuing in this direction is important not only for Pakistan but also for the world. This was stated by the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Zorica McCarthy while addressing the members of the Pakistani Institute of International Affairs in Karachi.
She said the Australian government has welcomed the conduct of the Nationala Assembly and provincial elections. She said it is our desire to support the government of Pakistan in consolidating democracy, growing the economy, providing better services to the people and ensuring peace and stability.-SANA
