Pakistan Defense Industries Attract Buyers
KUALA LUMPUR: Pakistan Defense Industries attracted many buyers and finalized business deals with Indonesia and Australia, while business deals with number of other countries entered into an advance stage. During the four days Defense Asia Exhibition which concluded in Kuala Lumpur, today, defense delegates from Philippine, Brunei, Malaysia, Myanmar, Poland, India, Bangladesh, Japan Singapore and Turkey visited the Pakistan Defense Pavilion and showed keen interest in the defense products of Pakistan.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, also the defense Minister, Datuk Najib Tun Razak, Vice Chief of Science and Technology, China, Maritime Security Chief of Malaysia were amongst the prominent personalities who visited the Pakistan Pavilion with great interest. Pakistan defense industries also introduced two new products; sniper rifle and Base Bleed Artillery Ammunition which attracted lot of interest from the visitors.
In all, fourteen Pakistani companies displayed wide variety of defense products including Tank & Anti-Tank Ammunition, Aircraft & Anti-aircraft, Tactical UAV System, Air Defense Automation System, Ammunition, infantry weapons, -Personal Defense Weapons, .Artillery Ammunition, Hand Grenades, Small Arms Ammunition, Pyrotechnics & Demolition Store and Propellants and Explosives.
The other countries who took part in exhibition were; Pakistan ,Australia, United States, Brazil, Bosnia, Czech Republic, China, Iran, France, German, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Korea and Ukraine. Pakistan is also hosting 5th International Defense Exhibition and Seminar “Ideas 2008 Pakistan” from 24th to 28th November this year in Expo Centre Karachi, providing the global Defense Industries another world class platform to exhibit their products and forged business ties amongst the interested countries.-SANA
