ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and the National Assembly candidate from NA-55 and NA-56, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that President Pervez Musharraf had been elected president for five years and he had the weapon of Atricle 58(2) (B) in his hand despite being without uniform. He was addressing a public meeting in Union Council 27 here on Friday. The public meeting was also addressed by candidate from PP-14 Rahat Masood Qudusi and Azhar Iqbal Satti.
He claimed that Rawalpindi would play an important role in government making after February 18 and the ulema belonging to Rawalpindi including those belonging to Jamat-i-Islami would soon announce support for him. Sh Rashid Ahmed said that those doing politics of hypocrisy and fraud wanted to use PML (N) umbrella to come into power. However, he said that people knew that PML (N) was limited to Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. Both the Sharif Brothers would not be in the next parliament, he said.-SANA
