MANAMA: The new Pakistani ambassador to Bahrain Mr. Ikramullah Mehsud has assumed his new assignment in the country. He takes over from Mr. Iftikhar Hussain Kazmi, who left to take up a position as envoy to Greece last month.
Mr. Mehsud comes to Bahrain from his role as ambassador to Tajikistan. He joined the Foreign Service in 1979 and has held diplomatic positions in the Hague, Moscow, Almaty and Jalalabad.-SANA
