Pak to enhance cooperation with Norway: PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro has said that Pakistan wants to further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Norway in all fields including diplomatic, economic, defence and especially trade for which there is a great potential.
He was talking to the visiting Foreign Minister of Norway, Mr. Jonas Gahr Store, who called on him. About the forthcoming general elections, the Prime Minister said the caretaker government’s mandate is to facilitate free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections in the country.
He said that international observers including the Norwegians are welcome to monitor the election process as the government is determined to ensure credible elections in the country.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is committed to the process of composite dialogue with India and efforts for peace, stability and prosperity in Afghanistan.
Nowegian Foreign Minister said that his government strongly condemned the tragic assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and expressed condolence on her death.
He appreciated the steps taken by the Pakistani government to ensure peace and stability in the region.-SANA
