ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India will exchange lists of their nuclear installations on Tuesday under a special agreement prohibiting them from attacking each other’s nuclear facilities. The exchange will take place simultaneously in Islamabad and New Delhi. The lists usually include civilian nuclear power plants and give the exact location of each, said the report.

The two countries agreed to exchange lists of nuclear installations under an agreement called “Article-II of the Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities” between Pakistan and India on December 31, 1988.The first such exchange of lists took place on January 1, 1992. According to the above-mentioned agreement, India and Pakistan have to inform each other on January 1 every year of the nuclear installations and facilities to be covered by the agreement.-SANA
