DUBAI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights have been experiencing delays and one flight from Dubai had to be canceled after Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and the ensuing unrest.However, Emirates and Etihad Airways said there was minimal flight disruption and passenger numbers remain normal. A section of the Pakistani media reported that delays and cancellations of international flights to and from Pakistan and transport within Karachi had been affected. A Karachi-based PIA agent said only one flight, PK208 from Dubai to Karachi on December 28, had been cancelled and not rescheduled. However, all flights, a total of five, from Thursday evening until yesterday had experienced delays. A UAE regional head for Pakistan International Airlines did not answer calls from Khaleej Times but Pakistan media said the crew did not report for duty.-SANA
