ISLAMABAD: Acting Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Egypt to Pakistan, Ayman Tharwaf has said that his country has great potential in LPG, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers and petroleum products, which Pakistan can import on comparative rates. Talking to the President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Nasir Khan here on Saturday, he said that current trade volume between Pakistan and Egypt is very low which should be enhanced through active involvement of the commerce chambers of both the countries.
He said that private sectors of both the countries should come forward for joint venture and cooperation to help boost the trade activities. He informed that Cairo will organize a Trade Expo in March 2008, and invited business delegation of Islamabad Chamber for the visit. He further said that Egypt the sixth largest producer of LPG, which Pakistan can import on comparative rates.
Nasir Khan ICCI on the occasion emphasized on exchange of trade delegations to promote bilateral trade between the two countries. He assured full cooperation of ICCI in promoting the two way trade. He said that Egyptian companies can collaborate in the sectors of textile, surgical, sports goods and tourism.-SANA
