Govt to ensure nazims neutrality in polls

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Environment, Local government and Rural Development Syed Wajid Hussain Bokhari has said that the government would ensure non-indulgence of District Nazims in the forthcoming elections.Commenting on the news reports regarding alleged interference of Nazims in the election campaign, he said that the government has not received any such reports in this regard.

The minister said that government has already instructed all District Nazims to remain neutral during the forthcoming elections and refrain from involvement of any kind in electioneering as per code conduct of the Election Commission of Pakistan. The caretaker government will take all steps to ensure free, fair and transparent elections, he added.-SANA
