Quality education must for country’s progress: PM

TALAGANG: Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro has said that quality education is imperative to face the present day challenges and for progress and prosperity of the country. Performing ground breaking ceremony of Makkah Cadet College being constructed in private sector here on Tuesday, he said that the government is committed to root out illiteracy and huge amounts are being spent for the promotion of education. He said equal attention is being given on the primary and higher education.

He urged the private sector to supplement the government’s efforts in promotion of education in the country. He also emphasized for maintaining high standards in all sectors of social services particularly in education and health. Soomro appreciated the services of Makkah family for establishing the Cadet College in far flung area for the promotion of education.

The Prime Minister also announced the construction of two link roads in the areas on the demand of the local people. Earlier, Managing Director Makkah System of Education, Malik Ghulam Sarwar thanked the Prime Minister for his visit. He said the institution is being constructed on 30 kanals of land and will provide quality education to about 2000 children.-SANA
