Chief Of Army Staff visits LoC
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani asked the troops to devote themselves fully towards enhancing their professional capabilities and maintain the highest state of preparedness. The Army Chief said this while visiting the troops, located in the forward areas of Azad Kashmir along the Line of Control. He was accompanied by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Mohsin Kamal.
Chief of the Army Staff met the troops at various places and saw them performing their professional pursuits. General Kayani appreciated the high morale of troops. Later, in informal talks with the troops, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that the nation held the Pakistan Army in high esteem. This national support, he said, was crucial to synergize national effort. On arrival, Chief of Army Staff was given a detailed operational briefing by General Officer Commanding, Major General Zaheer Ul Islam.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff also visited the Corps Headquarters Chaklala where he was received by Lieutenant General Mohsin Kamal, Corps Commander. General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani was given detailed briefing about operational preparedness and situation in the area of responsibility of Rawalpindi Corps.
