AJK versity holds walk to mark anti-corruption day

MUZAFFARABAD: A walk in connection with the International Anti-corruption was held at AJK University’s city campus here on Saturday. Faculty members, staff and students participated in the walk.Talking to media after the walk, Prof. Dr. Nisar Hamdani, Dean Faculty of Arts, said that corruption can be eliminated from the country through enabling the future generation to perform their duties with honesty and devotion. Prof Dr Muhammad Rustam Khan, Director Students’ Affairs, on the occasion said that unemployment, weak institutions including judiciary were the root causes of the corruption.

Participants of the walk vowed to fight together against corruption and for the betterment of the country. Earlier, Vice Chancellor of AJK University Prof. Dr. Z.U Khan in his message to Students and teachers said, that the university will produce graduates who will fight corruption and eradicating this menace from our society. He emphasized the students and faculty that their role for the uplift of the country is crucial. He said that there is no dearth of talent in the country but there is a dire need to use this talent in the right direction.-SANA
