ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto on Friday announced her party’s manifesto for the up-coming elections, saying the PPP policy is based on five E’s education, employment, equality, energy and environment.

The PPP Chairperson reiterated that she was taking part in the polls under protest. “We are taking part in elections under protest. we are not giving them any legitimacy. But if we do not participate we leave the field for others, Bhutto said.

The PPP, she said, would not boycott the elections following President Pervez Musharraf’s announcement that he would lift emergency rule and withdraw the PCO on December 16. Benazir Bhutto however, added that she could review her decision on participating in the election if she could agree a common agenda with PNL (N) Chief Nawaz Sharif and other political parties. Benazir Bhutto denied reports of her meeting with President Musharraf the other day, saying that the PPP has already denied it.-SANA
